Are you afraid of the mirror?
It’s understandable, especially when you reach a certain age and have children, life experiences, work, responsibilities, and leisure activities behind you. These factors inevitably reflect on your appearance. You can read everything on your face or in the shape of your body.

However, let’s be honest! So what if we’re over 40? Can’t we look just as good as we did before? Should we really fear seeing ourselves in the mirror or the shop window we pass by? Absolutely not! If we’ve managed to raise our children, take care of our family members, and achieve great success at work, then we can definitely channel some of that energy back into ourselves. It’s time to prioritize how we look, just as we care for everything else in our lives.
Ladies, the mirror is there! It’s not Snow White’s magical mirror—it’s our own. We see every extra pound and the burdens of life where we’ve forgotten to include ourselves. But can it be different? Oh, yes! It definitely can.
Men and How They Age
Oh, yes! You’ve seen all those sexy men with their lightly graying hair, strutting confidently in their impeccably tailored suits. Honestly, they’re 55 and still look sexy! I’m talking about those who maintain themselves. However, let’s take a moment to reflect. What do both female and male bodies physically endure? Women typically become mothers, which leads to significant expansions in certain body areas.

After all, we carry children who usually weigh at least 3 to 3.5 kilograms. Our bodies stretch, our skin expands to two or three times its volume from when we were 20, and all of this happens over at least 9 months. Hormones surge, and we experience a unique imbalance.
These are all challenges that those sexy men have never faced and likely never will. I know it seems a bit unfair, but the reality is that the female body proves to be more resilient, capable of enduring all of this while still remaining sexy.
O, yeas my dears! We can do that and we can be so glamorous and sexy – just need to put some efforts, as we always do! But damn those men are really sexy 😊
Can I look sexy even after 40 and giving birth?
Oh yes! You absolutely can. No matter how busy we are, ladies, let’s be honest—instead of sitting in front of the TV for your favorite series with a glass of wine, you can engage in far more beneficial activities. Then, if you still want to, reward yourself with that glass of wine, but I promise you’ll feel that dopamine rush so powerfully that it will be truly unique.

First, I urge you to approach that pesky mirror and take a good look at yourself. Do you like what you see? Do you really like yourself? Don’t tell me you don’t have time to check your reflection. We all have time; we just need to organize it better. I’m a single mother and even have implants in my back from a serious fall. When I got pregnant, I gained 25 kilograms! It was an overwhelming burden that I didn’t fully feel because, after all, I was expecting a child and wanted it. But immediately afterward, I started to tone up, and now at 44, I honestly look much better than I did at 20 (not counting the wrinkles, though everything has its trade-offs).

If I can do it, know that you can too. It’s not that complicated; it just takes good time management.
Take a moment to think about this. Instead of spending an hour and a half in front of the TV watching your favorite series while snacking or sipping a glass of wine, you can engage in activities that are more beneficial for you. Once you make this choice, you’ll feel so energized and happy that you’ll want to keep going!
Let’s get that sexy look starting from today!
First, choose a physical activity that suits you. The goal isn’t to torture ourselves; we should enjoy sculpting our bodies and strutting along the beach or street while feeling those masculine gazes. Oh, yes! So what if we’re over 40?

Pick a sport that fits your lifestyle; look around for the nearest gym or fitness center. Personally, I wholeheartedly recommend yoga. Many underestimate it, expecting instant results, but there’s no magic in that. If there is, please share!
Yoga
Yoga combines various practices that not only help you look good but also bring balance to your life. I haven’t missed a day in the last five months, and trust me, it shows! My shoulders and arms look toned, my flexibility improves daily, and I handle life’s challenges with much more ease. I encourage everyone to try Yoga. I practice at home and only attend classes when possible. You can check my blog yogabeatflow and my ytube channel too. Hope you will get inspired to start!
Fitness or other activity
Now, let’s talk about exercise. I’ve tried running, swimming, and spinning, but Fit Fast Women Fitness resonates with me the most. It combines gym equipment and bodyweight exercises performed in sequence. You start with one machine, do an abs workout, switch to another machine, and keep going until you finish the circuit.
This program is super convenient at just 30 minutes—perfect if you’re busy and running around all day. Sometimes I am trying new things too.
The results come gradually with both activities I enjoy. Sometimes, when I look in the mirror, I think, “Wow, Mom! You look like a 25-year-old!” How can I stop when I see it’s working?
In the end, everything requires consistency and motivation.
How often should I work out?
That really depends on how much time you have and how your body reacts to exercise. As I mentioned, the key is to enjoy it. Sure, it’s not easy, but it’s so rewarding when you slip back into that little black dress you used to wear before having your kids.
Personally, I never miss a day of yoga. Even if it’s just 15 to 20 minutes, I make time for it daily. I’ve arranged my schedule so that it works best for me to practice in the morning before waking my child. But when the weekend comes—oh yes! I dedicate hours to yoga because it makes me feel great, and I want to improve.
For fitness, I aim for at least 3 to 4 times a week. I’ve found a program that takes just 30 minutes per workout, and it’s conveniently close to home—perfect for after work or during my lunch break. Instead of wandering around aimlessly shopping for unnecessary items (as many women do), I choose to do something beneficial. Plus, I reward myself with a sexy dress or fitted jeans because, really, why train this body if I don’t show it off—just kidding!
So, pick a sport or activity that fits you and get started. Once you establish a routine, it will become second nature, and you’ll want even more!
Is what we eat important?
Absolutely! It’s crucial to consider how we fuel our bodies. Every metabolism is different, so you don’t have to banish everything; just focus on the right amounts.
For example, I love bread and could eat a lot of it, but those carbs aren’t great for me. If I indulge one day, I give myself a break afterward. I prefer un-fried meats and vegetables—baked or boiled—and I enjoy nuts and fruit, especially in the morning. Since I’m not a fan of sweets, I use honey instead; I have one favorite chocolate that I treat myself to occasionally, but it’s rare.
I don’t plan my meals weekly, which is fine since I usually cook for myself and my child day by day. We always have some kind of meat or fish, along with veggies or rice.
By the way, I could happily live on just fish and vegetables if there’s variety. If I move somewhere near the ocean, I’d love to make that my main diet.
I also don’t drink alcohol. It brings in toxins and empty calories. Plus, I don’t feel good the day after drinking. Occasionally, I enjoy non-alcoholic beer since I used to love beer. For special occasions, I’ll have a regular beer or a glass of red wine, but that’s it—not every day. Ladies, alcohol ruins our skin, bodies, and muddles our minds! We can have fun without crawling on the floor or stumbling around.
Lastly, I love to cook. Preparing your meals makes them taste better and healthier, plus you eat slowly and not in massive quantities since you’ve spent at least an hour in the kitchen.
Incorporate sex into your life
It’s crucial for us women over 40 to have sex. Oh yes! Engage with your husband or partner. If you don’t have a man, consider joining a dating app, meet someone, and indulge in those physical pleasures. Of course, I’m not talking about casual sex. A woman over 40 certainly wouldn’t jump into that anyway. We know our worth and should be selective.

However, sex is important not just as a pleasurable experience but also for our hormonal balance. The joy of finding the right partner and enjoying an exquisite sex life together is unmatched. We shouldn’t underestimate sex; it needs to be a part of our lives.
If you also take care of your body, you’ll experience even greater pleasure. Embrace your wild side, ladies! At 40, you have experience, and things in bed can be much different—and so much better. This is one advantage over younger ladies.

Men are attracted to mature women who are in their prime, independent, and make an effort to look good.
Here are my tips:
- Choose your activity or sport.
- Be patient and consistent.
- Do some activities at home—yoga, for example.
- Select a location close to you, so you don’t have to travel for hours.
- Pay attention to your diet—maintain a balance.
- Consume alcohol in moderation; the less often, the better. The same goes for smoking—there’s nothing beneficial about cigarettes, and think of all the new places you could visit with the money you save by quitting!
- Make sex.
- Dance and sing when you can even in the elevator.
- Reward yourself for every achievement.
Take action, girls! The mirror reflects our efforts born from self-love. Every effort is worthwhile and will bring you nothing but positive emotions. Have fun and live life to the fullest, here and now! Take care for the Temple of Our Soul – the Body.
