How Yoga Entered My Life
My encounter with yoga happened a long time ago, and I’d say it almost came before its time. My grandmother, who always stood out and taught me things that were unusual for our era, introduced me to it. I’m talking about the 1990s in Bulgaria, where we still experienced a communist regime. My grandmother had an interest in exotic topics, diving into everything that was beyond what was allowed at the time.
My Granny
She often told me that before falling asleep, I should relax my arms alongside my body with my palms facing up, let my legs loosen, close my eyes, and follow my breath. She tried to teach me about meditation. I practiced it from time to time, but as we met less frequently over the years, I slowly forgot to continue.
My Kid
My next significant encounter with yoga occurred when I found out I was pregnant. I immediately returned to the practice, knowing I was doing something truly good for myself and the baby growing inside me. Those nine months became a beautiful experience.

My Love
The most recent and most conscious encounter with yoga took place when I fell in love. I met an extraordinary person who captivated me not just with his appearance but, more importantly, with his inner beauty. Through this relationship, I returned to yoga with renewed passion. This connection felt intentional, which is why it left such a strong mark. And that’s how it all began—through love. A love that sparked my love for yoga.
Every Day is a New Opportunity for Yoga
Since that encounter, I’ve practiced yoga every day for the past four months. As a beginner, the thrill of mastering an asana is unforgettable. I deal with spinal fixation from snowboarding, which limits my flexibility, but daily practice shows me real progress. I can now perform movements I once thought impossible. Yoga helps me stay mobile and maintain my shape. At 44, every step that benefits my body and enhances my appearance is invaluable.
More importantly, yoga brings a significant mental shift. I’ve always been impulsive and rushed, but now I approach life more calmly, allowing me to appreciate the beauty around and within me. Yoga feels like the psychology of life. Embracing it has made my life more beautiful.
Many hesitate to start, thinking they lack time or find yoga too complicated. However, yoga doesn’t take much time, and you don’t need to be a gymnast or ballerina to practice. Just give it a chance! I primarily practice at home, which saves time, but I also attend classes when I can to check my progress.
My love for yoga inspired me to start my first blog, yogabeatflow. Love leads to new passions. Now I nurture two—yoga and blogging. What’s more amazing than growing and enriching ourselves?
The Things That Make Us Happy Are the Important Things
Rediscovering yoga helped me become more resilient and happier. The practice gives me confidence and peace, and I can’t imagine a day without at least 20 minutes of yoga. It has turned into a beneficial habit. Choosing to embrace yoga stands out as the best decision of my life—one of those important things that bring happiness. It’s such a unique experience, and I crave more.
Now, I dream of traveling to India for a 300-hour course to refine my skills and become a teacher. I know I can inspire others to start their own yoga journey. For me, yoga is love. It came to me through love, helping me recognize my true self and all the things I’ve always known I could do but never allowed myself to try.
Dear readers, give yoga a chance to become part of your life. Bringing balance to your daily routine is wonderful, and who knows—you might unlock hidden qualities within yourself!
What Yoga Gives Me
I considered how easy it is to list what yoga gives me and whether I could mention what it takes away. Well, I can! Yoga removes the negativity within me. We all have our not-so-good habits and traits—we’re not saints. Yoga took away my irritability and insecurity while eliminating my nervousness and dramatic reactions to certain situations, and it gave me so much in return.
Through yoga, I rediscovered myself as a woman. It gave me confidence and strength, allowing me to accept challenges—whether personal or professional—much more easily. I find solutions faster and experience a balance in my thoughts and actions. I’m convinced that these achievements stem from my yoga practice.
Yoga also opened a new chapter in my sex life. Sex is no longer just an act. It has transformed into a full emotional experience. It has reached a whole new level. For us women, the experience is more complex, and yoga helped me remove barriers, enabling me to feel and embrace every emotion fully.
Yoga is the key to your most beautiful thoughts. When these thoughts awaken, you’ll activate them, bringing the beautiful things you dream of to life.
Yoga and Meditation
Many people first explore meditation and then discover yoga through it. The two practices complement each other and form a greater whole. Most view meditation as challenging because it requires inner peace and calm—qualities that often feel elusive. Our minds constantly race with tasks and aspirations, making it hard to disconnect and meditate. Yet, we absolutely can.
Both yoga and meditation improve with practice. I meditate every evening before bed, and with each session, I feel more present. I quiet my thoughts and connect with my body through my breath. The experience is wonderful and restorative, akin to hours of sleep. I can’t sleep until I manifest my goals and meditate afterward.
If you haven’t tried yoga yet, start right now! For beginners, you can see how I began and the basics of my practice. Embrace yoga, manifest your desires, and meditate.
I’ll be thrilled if I inspire even one of you to start your yoga journey. Allow yourself to be happy!
